Massage School
European Massage Therapy Institute is a school approved by Texas Department of
Health, the regulating agency for Massage Therapy in the State of Texas.
It has been in operation since l988.
Following the prescribed program of Texas Department of Health, European
Massage Therapy Institute is required to teach a 300-hour course according to
the following curriculum:

The
total cost of our course is as follows:
Pre-Registration Fee $50.00
Registration Fee $200.00
Insurance Fee $39.00
Tuition $2,250.00
Tuition is payable in monthly payments. The
$2,250.00 total tuition is divided by the 300 course hours to arrive at an
hourly rate of $7.50. The total
tuition of $2,250.00 is payable in eight (8) consecutive monthly payments of
$281.25 each in a nine-month course.
A Student is required to pay the amount of $300.00 at the time of registration. A pre-registration Fee of $50.00 may be paid by the student at any time prior to official enrollment in order to ensure placement in the class of their choice. The $50.00 non-refundable Pre-Registration fee will be credited to the first $300.00 payment due at the time a student is formally enrolled. The initial payment covers the following costs:

Establishment and Equipment Fees
An Insurance Fee of $39.00 which is also included in the first payment of $300.00 is collected at Registration and forwarded to Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (click on join ABMP) for a required professional liability insurance to cover a Student for the duration of the Massage Therapy course.
DRESS
CODE
Students
are required to wear official E.M.T.I. white uniforms.
Uniforms can be purchased at the school and range from $55.00.
VA & Texas Rehabilitation Commission
European Massage Therapy Institute is proud to be approved by the Veterans
Administration and The Texas Rehabilitation Commission, financial benefits vary
according to student eligibility.
The
Admissions Requirements for a prospective Student of European
Massage Therapy Institute are:
2. Age
minimum of l8 years
3. Completion
of a minimum of l0th Grade or its equivalent
of
completion; a waiver may be obtained upon
a
prospective Student may be required to show
by examination by European Massage
4. A
medical statement signed by a United States physician
stating
that
Applicant has received a Tuberculosis Test and a
physical exam,
and that Applicant is free of any
contagious disease
.
5. Four (4) passport-size
photos along with the Application for
Admission (one photo to be
attached to diploma).
6. Photocopy
of birth certificate or other identification.
7. Personal
interview with the School Director.
8. Applicant
may be accepted or rejected for admission, and the
decision rests exclusively with the
Administrator of European
Massage
Institute.
Rosario
Perez Garza is a Co-Director and Instructor at European Massage Therapy
Institute. A graduate of Pan
American University, now the University of Texas at Pan American, with a
Bachelor of Arts, Ms. Garza has been in Esthetics and Massage Therapy since
l985.
Maria Esperanza Gomez a/k/a Mari Paz Gomez is also a Co-Director and Instructor at European Massage Therapy Institute. She is a native of Barcelona, Spain, and has been in Esthetics and Massage Therapy for over twenty years.
Because
of the uniqueness of its instructional system, the entire teaching staff at
European Massage Therapy Institute is composed of graduates of E.M.T.I.
Prospective Students are welcomed to visit European Massage Therapy Institute to observe our Students in training. Our total enrollment does not exceed 26 Students in any one course. Because our enrollment is limited, we encourage prospective Students to visit our facility and enroll at the earliest possible date. Link to map
Full time classes start in Jan, May and August.
Classes are held two (2) evenings
or two (2) mornings per week on Mondays and
The Morning class meets twice a week from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The Evening class meets twice a week from 6:00 p.m. to l0:00 p.m.
A Student can complete the course hours (300) required by Texas Department of
Health in 9 months and be eligible to apply for Registration as a Massage Therapist.
